Life in this planet

Is an adventurous expedition

Through a vast terrain

Of glorious fortunes and painful misfortunes

And an admixture

Of comic ironies and tragic paradoxes

Yes indeed

Life is a revealing pilgrimage

Of laughter and tears

And joy and grief

In these climes

The human encounter

For some

Provokes either healthy co-operation

Or violent competition

Bringing about glorious triumph for one

And humiliating defeat for the other

But you know

Is for me an exploration

Into a lofty mystery!
